Hannover Opera House
The Hannover Opera House was built between 1845 and 1852 by court architect Georg Ludwig Friedrich Laves in a neoclassical style as the Royal Court Theater. The stately building on Opernstraße is the venue of the Hannover State Opera, internationally respected for opera, ballet and concerts. Rebuilt after wartime destruction, its colonnaded façade is a defining feature of the city center.
