New Town Hall

The New Town Hall was built between 1901 and 1913 in an eclectic Wilhelmine style and is one of Hannover's defining landmarks. It stands on around 6,000 beech piles at the edge of the Maschpark. A special feature is its unique diagonal arched lift, which carries visitors up the curved dome to a height of almost 100 meters, offering wide views over the city, the Maschsee lake and the surrounding region. Inside, four city models show the development of Hannover.
