The Red Thread
The Red Thread is Hannover's cleverest self-guided tour: a 4.2-kilometer red line is painted directly onto the sidewalk, linking 36 of the city center's most important sights. Following it leads past the main station, Kröpcke, the Market Church, the New Town Hall and the Nanas. An accompanying booklet explains each stop. The tour is free, self-explanatory and takes about two hours - ideal for a first overview of the city.
