The Red Thread
The Red Thread is Hannover's cleverest self-guided tour: a 4.2-kilometre red line is painted directly onto the pavement, linking 36 of the city centre's most important sights. Following it leads past the main station, Kröpcke, the Market Church, the New Town Hall and the Nanas. An accompanying booklet explains each stop. The tour is free, self-explanatory and takes about two hours — ideal for a first overview of the city.
