International Fireworks Competition: five nations light up the Herrenhausen Gardens

The International Fireworks Competition in the Herrenhausen Gardens is considered one of the most prestigious of its kind in the world. In 2026, teams from Italy, Canada, Japan, France and Germany compete on five evenings between May and September. Each nation choreographs its fireworks to music against the baroque backdrop of the Great Garden. A panel of experts and the audience crown the winner at the end.
