Schuetzenfest 2026: the world's largest marksmen's fair parades through the city
From 26 June to 5 July, the Schuetzenplatz turns into a fairground of superlatives - complete with the traditional parade through the city center.
The Schuetzenfest in Hannover is regarded as the largest marksmen's fair in the world. In 2026 it runs from 26 June to 5 July on the Schuetzenplatz. The highlight is the marksmen's parade with around 12,000 participants from more than 100 clubs, winding roughly twelve kilometers through the city. Visitors can also enjoy fairground rides, festival tents and the famous Luettje Lage. Admission to the festival grounds is free.
