Region approves expansion of the D-line light-rail route
The regional assembly has approved the above-ground expansion of the D-line - adding capacity for the growing city center.
The Region Hannover has approved the further expansion of the D-line light-rail route. The above-ground stretch through the city center is to be modernized and fitted with barrier-free high platforms. Operator uestra expects significantly higher capacity on the busy axis between the main station and the western districts. The works will be carried out in stages to keep operations running as far as possible. The overall project is part of the region's long-term mobility strategy.
